About the event

Henderson County Soil & Water is excited to host this event at the St. Pat's Community Center. Several regional experts will share knowledge about their personal experiences with cover crops and improved nitrogen management. These experts have a wide range of experience from how to make a basic cover crop plan, fine tuning equipment to maximize success, combining nitrogen management and cover crops and more! Join us to learn more about implementing some new ideas that are already locally proven!


9:30 - 10:00 - Registration

10:00 - 10:10 - Introductions

Henderson County SWCD will introduce the speakers and provide some general info to start the day!

10:10 - 10:40 - Intro to Cover Crops

Laura Lant from Midwest Grass & Forage will provide an introduction to Cover Crop Basics. Topics will include common benefits from covers, species selection, rates, establishment and termination.
